I feel like making a jack o lantern is part of the Halloween musts, even though last year was the first time I carved a pumpkin(I made a kitty cat). Making a jack o lantern isn't that hard, actually it's pretty easy but very time consuming. All you need is a cute pumpkin and a carving kit, you can find hundreds of designs online and make a masterpiece! If you've never carved a pumpkin let me just tell you from experience to use gloves when taking out all of the pumpkin smush! I did this and it was a lot easier and a lot less messy. If you still feel like you can't carve a pumpkin well you can paint a pumpkin with a pretty design like Hello Kitty(look below!) or a scary face to scare off children. Haha. Just kidding anyways I found some really cute jack o lantern pictures online and wanted to share take a look.
These were just painted with paint, it looks a lot easier then carving a pumpkin but still probably takes the same amount of time.
How cool is this! I totally want to make this! But I think this will take forever and frankly I'm not that patiencent.
Jack o lanterns are also a great to decorate your home with and very festive! I think I may make two this year a Hello Kitty one and a Totoro one! I'll take pictures and maybe even a DIY? But only if it comes out good. Have you ever carved a pumpkin? What design did you make? Let me know!
