NOTD - Nyan Cat Nails

My little sister first showed me the Nyan cat video of the cat with the poptart body flying through outer space with a rainbow right behind it's tail. I didn't what was the point of the video but I did however like Nyan cat himself. Recently I saw a video on how to create the little viral video star on your nails, I fell in love with the nails and decide to give it a go on my own nails. The video even teaches you a different method of how to apply things to your nails, which I find super helpful. Try the Nyan cat nails yourself and have fun wiggling your thumb up and down like Nyan cat does in space.

SOTW - Eet

Anyways On to this week's song of the week. Last week on itunes they had a whole lot of songs on their 69 cent list and I took a look around and saw that they had a song by Regina Spektor, one of my favorite singers, so I heard the preview and bought it right away. I've been playing this song ever since it's so pretty and relaxing at the same time. Hear it for yourself.

UPDATE:

Excuse my absence the past few days I needed a little break and some more ideas for some new blog post. I'm also panning on redecorating the blog, speaking of which I also redecorated my room a few weeks ago and its finally coming together, hopefully this week I'll be able to get some stuff to finish it as soon as I do I will take pictures and show you guys.

Japanese Magazine Scans

I'm a big fan of international magazines especially Japanese and Korean. I use to go to this great website where there would be hundreds of Japanese magazine scans but they recently stop updating and now I only have what I saved. If anyone ones of a blog, website, or Tumblr that Japanese or Korean magazine fashion spreads please let me know! Anyways here are some of Japanese magazine scans that I saved from the website. I love Japanese fashion and street style, I will post a Korean one later this week.

NOTD - Barracuda

When Sally Hansen came out with the complete salon manicure collection a year ago they also released a few special colors that were hard to find. But finally thanks to makeupalley I found one, a soft powder baby blue color called barracuda. When I first saw picture of barracuda I knew that that nail polish had to be mine. I'm currently wearing barracuda on both my nails and toenails and I can't help but stare at this gorgeous nail color every time I see them.

Review - Purity Made Simple Cleanser

I got the purity made simple cleanser by Philosophy in my July birchbox last month and I've been using it ever since. I got an 3 oz sample size in my birchbox, I haven't used all of it yet and I have used it every night for about a month, so it was a good amount. I have been looking for a new cleanse and I think I may have just found my new favorite!

Pros:

-Removes dirt and oil.
-Takes off any leftover makeup.
-Lathers pretty well.
-Fair amount of product.
-Comes in different sizes and prices.
-Good for normal and oily skin types.

Cons:

-The smell has a "doctor's office" or chemical smell. I heard most people do not like this smell but I actually liked it, it makes me feel like my skin is really clean.

That's about the only cons I really had. As soon as I run out of my sample I'm going to get the full size bottle. Have you tried purity cleanser? Did you like it or hate it?

You can get the purity cleanser at Sephora stores and Philosophy.com

SOTW - Natalia Kills

I first heard of Natalia Kills through the radio, it was free that I was rocking out to at the moment. People compare her a lot to Lady Gaga because they both have a similar voice and I have to admit that's kind of true but what I like about Natalia Kills is that she's not that well known yet, for some reason I like to brag about new music before people actually hear it and she is definitely someone I would recommend. Her new album Perfectionist recently came out and you should totally check it out if you haven't already, my favorite song is Wonderland!

Review - Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat

A few weeks ago on Twitter I ask what was a good top coat. After i posted that tweet I checked went on Youtube and came across some neat top coat reviews. I finally came down to a tie between Sally Hansen Insta-Dri anti-chip top coat and Seche Vite dry fast top coat. I choose the Sally Hansen one because it was more affordable then the Seche Vite one. I've used this top coat about ten times and have come to a conclusion that I love this top coat! It drys in less then a minute after you put it on which is great, I hate waiting for my nails to dry, and since I've used it I seen less chips on my nails.

I can't really compare the Sally Hansen top coat to the Seche Vite one because well I haven't tried it yet but once I do I will do another post comparing them. You can get the Sally Hansen insta-dri anti-chip top coat at any drugstore or here. There is also a base coat version of this I may just have to get that too.

Fall 2011 Trends

Fall is right around the corner and along with Fall comes colder weather and color changing trees. Fall is basically fashion weather and so I'm going to give you some of the hottest trends that you will seeing this Fall on people and runaways.

1. Capes

Last year I only saw a few capes pop up but this year capes are suppose to be big. I especially like the ones with huge hoods in either navy or a dark color. The one in the picture has a cute bow in the back, which adds a cute touch. You will definitely see me wearing this cape this season along with many others.

2. Colored Jeans
RAINBOW JEANS

I've already seen some people wearing cute colorful jeans. This is probably my favorite trend this season because usually during the Fall most people tend to use darker colors, but with a pair of one of these colored beauties you can instantly brighten your Fall wardrobe and you have an entire rainbow of colors to choose from! I have to find myself a pair of pink jeans ASAP!

3. Riding Boots

This was a big trend last year but sadly I never got me a pair of riding boots. But it looks like these boots might be around for another ride this Fall. Especially since Spencer Hasting's keeps wearing them around everywhere on Pretty Little Liars. The hardest part is choosing what color to get? Maybe all of them?

Well that's a few of this year's Fall trends. Which trend do you like? Or hate? Leave a comment below.

A Very Late Birthday Post

This is going to be a very very late birthday post. Every Summer is the same we go on vacation late June to early July and we usually always leave or arrive back home on my birthday so I never get to have a big celebration and this Summer was no difference. Before we left we did go to Sam's and got a very delicious red velvet cake and celebrated at my aunt's house, because the next day we were going back home, sadly I didn't take any pictures. After I got home my friends treated me to a dinner and we went shopping. It was great cause I haven't seen them since graduation! Also me and my sisters made a cookie cake in honor of my birthday it was fun!

This wasn't my ideal birthday but it was fun, I had like three different celebrations! But I hope that one day I will get the birthday of my dreams.

Some of my presents!

My mom and dad got me this hello kitty bag! I've been wanting this bag for a long time and I own it! :D

My sister got me this cute colorful top and Hello Kitty case from Ebay! Love them both!

August 2011 Birchbox

Look what came yesterday! This month they shipped out my birchbox really fast which is great because I use to be one of those people who got their birchbox last, but this month it surprised me how fast I actually got it. Also the when I held up the box it was surprisingly light. Which only meant one thing...

List of all the products

What's inside this month?

6 oz - $16

The first thing I saw when I opened the box was this cute bottle-sample thing. It's a climate control heat & humidity gel by Quidad. Birchbox says it's "A styling aid with brains! When this non-sticky gel senses heat, it stops hair from expanding. Welcome to frizz-free curls." I used this today when my hair was slightly damp and it really did keep frizz away and it is non-sticky, I do not really go outside so I don't know if it does control heat and humidity but next time I go out I will.

3.7 fl oz - $62

This is the second thing you will probably noticed in the box. It's a papaya purifying enzyme masque by June Jacobs. "Powered by natural fruit extracts, this creamy mask dissolves dull cells, then boosts skin with essential oils and antioxidant-rich tea extracts." I actually really excited to try this one out, I've always wanted to try out an enzyme masque! I know that sounded pretty weird, but no really I've read lots about enzyme masques and how good they are for your skin so I can't wait til I use this baby!

I wonder what's in here?

Cute new card I decide to answer these questions on here.
1. What futuristic beauty product do you wish existed?
If you could see a picture on a screen that shows you how the makeup would look on you before you applied it that would be awesome! Like try it before you get it without actually applying it on. Like a virtual Sephora!

2. What if there were a machine that could apply makeup for you? A lipstick that flashed different shades throughout the day? Or a way to change your eye color without contacts?
I think if there was a machine that could apply makeup for you it would just take out the fun of applying makeup on everyday. A mood changing lipstick? maybe but don't they already have that? And changing color eyes without poking your eye's out? YEAH! But I like the color of my eyes, but I still would love to try that out.

2 fl oz - &11 & 5.3 fl oz - $25

In the package is Shavework's the cool fix. "At last, a solution to bumps, ingrown, and other shaving and waxing side effects. Bonus: It soothes as it works." I tend to have lots of ingrown hairs on my legs, especially my thighs, so when I read about this product I couldn't wait to use it. I used this today after I shaved my legs, get out of the shower and dry then apply on your legs or anywhere with red bumps. I noticed that smell reminded me of nail salons, like nail polish remover or acrylic nails. However it did give a cooling effect that soothes your legs but it also stung my thighs but just a little. You are suppose to apply this twice a day to get rid of ingrown hairs so I still need to test this product out a little but once I do I will do a full review on this product.

1 fl oz - $36

Last makeup product in the box is the Smashbox Cosmetic's photo finish foundation primer. "This award winning primer is better than ever, with brand-new packaging. It gives skin a matte, velvet-soft finish and keeps makeup in place all day." I remember hearing about this primer years ago saying that it was the best primer out on the market. But I never had the chance to try it out because of the price, so to finally try out this primer makes me really happy!

Set of 3 - $5

Last but not least the extra goody that comes with every birchbox. This is a twistband hair tie. "This soft elastic gives the hair tie a sophisticated makeover - it looks as good on your wrist as it does in your hair." To be honest I think this is the worst extra ever that I've gotten in my birchbox! I mean a hair tie? At first when I saw it I thought it was one of those black ribbons that goes around the tissue paper, but when I saw it on the card I was like...O...K.. I rarely ever put my hair up so I do not think I will even use this but seriously a hair tie?

NOTD - Mint or Pistachio?

I finally picked up refresh mint by China Glaze this weekend and I got to say that I'm loving this color. I do not know why I hesitated to pick up this color until now. This color came out last Spring and when I first saw pictures of it I knew that I would definitely get it, but who knew that I would end up getting it a year later! Anyways I love this mint color my grandma actually said it looked more like pistachio, but whatever mint? pistachio? This nail polish is amazing! What nail polish are currently wearing?
